Here’s the deal: wedding photography is seasonal, and the work here won’t always be consistent. Some months may be busy. Others may be quiet. We’d rather tell you that upfront than dress this up like a corporate job posting.

If you’re trying to become a wedding photographer, you’ll get the chance to photograph real weddings, build a legitimate portfolio, learn alongside experienced photographers, and see what actually goes into running a successful wedding photography business.

You won’t just learn how to take better photos. You’ll see how we work with couples, handle timelines, solve problems on wedding days, communicate with vendors, deliver a consistent experience, and turn photography into an actual business.

    Want to photograph weddings but can’t get anyone to give you a first real shot? This role is built for you.

    This is an entry level role (and no we don't need you to have 3-5 years of experience). This is an opportunity for those who are ambitious about learning the ins and outs of wedding photography.

    You’ll work alongside us at real weddings, learn how we approach the whole day, and build a portfolio of actual wedding work. You won’t be expected to already know everything. We’ll teach you outside of weddings through couples sessions, senior sessions, and other shoots so you can learn without every lesson happening in the middle of someone’s wedding day.

    What You’ll Do

    No two weddings are exactly alike, so your role will shift with the day. You may:

    • Help with lighting: Hold or position lights during portraits so we can create our signature images, and help move and set up equipment throughout the day.

    • Photograph: If you have your own camera, you’ll shoot with us and build your portfolio.

    • Content Creation: Using our cameras, you’ll capture behind-the-scenes footage or candid moments.

    • Keep an eye on the details: You’ll be close to the couple, so you’ll help spot and fix things we may not see or catch, like a twisted dress or a crooked boutonniere.

    Unlike a traditional second photographer role, you’re a key part of how we create our images, you’re NOT just an extra camera.

    This Is For You If

    • You’re new to wedding photography or have only second shot a few weddings

    • You have a working camera and a basic understanding of how to use it

    • You’re excited to learn manual settings and lighting

    • You’re dependable and take direction well

    • You notice small visual details others miss

    • You can lift and hold up to 25 lbs of equipment for a full wedding day

    • A dual-slot camera is preferred, but not required

    • You’re looking for a photographer role or want a role that’s only behind a camera

    • You’re focused only on building your portfolio and taking photos
