Here’s the deal: wedding photography is seasonal, and the work here won’t always be consistent. Some months may be busy. Others may be quiet. We’d rather tell you that upfront than dress this up like a corporate job posting.

You won’t just learn how to take better photos. You’ll see how we work with couples, handle timelines, solve problems on wedding days, communicate with vendors, deliver a consistent experience, and turn photography into an actual business.

  • Start Building Your Wedding Photography Career.

    If you’re new to wedding photography, still building your gear, or haven’t had many chances to photograph real weddings yet, this role is designed to give you a place to start.

    You’ll work alongside us at weddings, learn how we approach the day, begin building your portfolio, and get hands-on experience without being expected to already know everything.

    Unlike a traditional second photographer role, part of your job will also be helping us with lighting. During portraits, you may hold or position lighting equipment so we can create some of our signature images. Because you’ll often be close to the couple, you may also help us catch small details like a twisted dress, crooked boutonniere, misplaced veil, or anything else we may not see from behind the camera.

    We’ll also train you outside of weddings through couples sessions, senior sessions, and other shoots so you can learn without every lesson happening in the middle of someone’s wedding day.

    Where You Should Be Right Now: Entry Level

    You may have never photographed a wedding before, or you may have only second shot a handful.

    You should have a basic understanding of your camera and a genuine interest in becoming a stronger photographer.

    Professional-level equipment is not required yet. We know this may be the role where you’re still building your first real kit.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • A working camera and basic understanding of how to use it

    • Willingness to learn manual camera settings and lighting

    • Dependability and comfort taking direction

    • Attention to small visual details

    • Ability to lift and hold up to 25 lbs of lighting or photography equipment

    • A dual-slot camera is preferred, but not required
